Purpose
The City of New Baltimore Historic District Commission is charged with promoting the educational, cultural, economic and general welfare of the City of New Baltimore through the preservation and protection of the distinctive characteristics of buildings and places of historic interest within the established historic district and other historic designated areas.

Duties
The Commission reviews any proposed work affecting the exterior appearance of any structure, site or its appurtenances within the historic district, including:
  • Alteration
  • Construction
  • Demolition
  • Moving of structures
  • Repair
  • Signage

Commission Application
Please submit your application for the Historic District Commission (PDF) to the City Clerk at least 10 days prior to a meeting date.
