Administrative Assistant

The mission of the Mayor's Assistant is to serve as a critical link between the citizens and the service delivery mechanisms of the City of New Baltimore government.

Responsibilities & Functions:

It is the responsibility of the Administrative Assistant to assist the Mayor in seeing that the day-to-day business of city government runs smoothly and efficiently. Some of the more important functions of the department include:
  • Communicating with Mayor, City Council, citizens, employees, and press
  • Responding in a timely manner (either verbally or written) to citizens regarding their complaints, problems, and inquiries
  • Preparing, presenting to Council and monitoring the City's annual budget
  • Forwarding plans and recommendations to Mayor and Council for action
